This past Tuesday was a big day here in the U.S. Our Presidential elections were held and for those who didn’t see their candidate win, it’s easy to become angry, pessimistic and cynical. I’m reminded though, that the exact same thing happens in business.
I sincerely hope this list doesn’t apply to you. But if it does, then keep reading. Your success has everything to do with you and nothing (or no one) else.
Top 10 Signs Your Practice is In Trouble
#10: You feel hopeless.
#9: Your personal life is out of control.
#8: You’re stuck in the past or worried about the future.
#7: You have a reason/excuse for everything.
#6: Someone has “done you wrong” and you just can’t let go.
#5: You envy someone else’s practice or life.
#4: You think your town or situation is unique.
#3: You aren’t at peace with who you are.
#2: You don’t know what you really want.
And the top sign that your practice is in trouble is:
#1: You actually believe any or all of #’s 2-9 above!
What happens in the White House (or your government) ultimately does not determine what happens in your house. What happens in the economy does not determine your personal economy. What happens in other businesses does not determine what happens in your business.
No matter what happens in any economy or government, there are always people and businesses that prosper. You can still be that person with a prosperous business.
We are all here for a purpose and have been called for such a time as this. Individual health problems continue to mushroom at an alarming rate. Businesses continue to suffer in the New Economy. But we’ve been born into this life, in this culture, in order to make a difference.
No matter what happens in the next 4, 10 or 20 years, we’ll still be doing the same thing. GIWE will still be reaching out to health and wellness professionals, supporting them with the tools, resources, training and support they need to grow their practices.
And I know you’ll be there for your clients too.
Whether you’re frustrated, depressed or cynical about politics, the economy or your own practice (or all 3!), it’s time to re-focus and recommit.
Your success depends entirely upon YOU. To be successful, we must be willing to take 100% responsibility for our own economy. Yes, that can be scary. But it’s also tremendously empowering. When your success depends solely on you, it means no one and nothing can stop you. 🙂
3 Tips for Renewal in Your Practice
1. Refocus on your dreams.
2. Recommit to your practice, to doing whatever it takes.
3. Remember those who need you – and WHY you do what you do.
Ghandi said “Be the change you want to see in the world.” We can’t look to governments, organizations or others to effect positive change. Real, positive change will come from we the people, from individuals starting business to create lasting, positive change for others.
As always, we’re here to support YOU!
