Ann Musico ~ Health Coach
Q: When did you realize you wanted to be a health coach?
A: I have been interested in health and wellness ever since I was in my early teens. An uncle was very much into health, vitamins and natural healing before it was widely accepted and I spent much of my youth learning all I could. Over the years, I’ve always been the person friends and family come to with health questions.
Q: How and when did you make this a reality?
A: I have always worked several part time administrative jobs around my children’s schedules to help my family financially. Five years ago I got an offer from the Biblical Health Institute to take their health coaching certification and I jumped at the chance! It was the perfect mix of faith and natural health – two driving forces in my life. I took the course and became certified. From there I founded Three Dimensional Vitality and began working with clients formally.
Q: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned so far in your career?
A: I have come to realize from personal experience and from working with clients that you cannot be truly healthy if you neglect your spirit or your soul. Too often we focus solely on the physical aspects of health and overlook the mind-spirit-body connection. I have developed my 3D Living Plan which has 4 steps – cleanse/detox, nourish/fuel, exercise/intentional exertion and rest/reboot – and all must be applied to spirit, soul and body.
Q: What are you working on right now?
A: I just recently converted my book, Today’s the Day Seven Week Fitness Plan, to a Kindle edition as well as print and e-book. I am working on an updated, revised version hopefully to be released sometime next year. I am always working on learning and educating myself and plan to focus even more on nutrition because I believe that is the foundation of vibrant health. I have some new evaluation and coaching options available as well.
Q: Name some people and/or books that have influenced your career in a positive way.
A: There are several people who have been a tremendous support and inspiration to me – Mike Fenton of Heart ‘n Soul Health Coaching, Caroline Gavin of Purposeful Pathway Life Coaching, Rob Clinton of 180 Career Coaching, Pei Kang of Real Good Health, and Dr. Lynne Kavulich. These people have consistently inspired, motivated, supported and encouraged me.
Q: What excites or ignites your soul?
A: Being able to provide information and resources that empower people to live vibrant lives of health and wholeness and especially working with women and moms to improve the health of their children – spirit, soul and body – absolutely thrills me. Impacting the world for the better – one person at a time – is my passion. I deeply believe when we change ourselves, only then can we change our families, which leads to changing our communities and the world.
